HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This printer is wirelessly connected to my hp laptop & I can print. However, the HP Smart app won't scan & says that Scanning is currently unavailable.  Nonetheless, I can print a test page from this app.  I also have setup the smtp server on it & the test says Successful.

Thanks for your help.

I regret to say that none of those things fixed the problem. However, thank you for reaching out to me.

I decided to uninstall All hp drivers & programs & remove all hp printers from Windows Settings then reinstall with the full drivers that you sent a link to. After the computer rebooted then it all seemed to work.

Thanks. Take care.

Hi @RC99

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

I understand you are not able to scan. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Use the HP Scan Extended app to scan and check if that helps.

Click here to download the app.

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Kindly install the full-featured driver to scan from this printer.

Click here to download the HP Full-featured driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
