HP LaserJet Pro M12w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there,

since few day my HP laserjet pro m12w ceased to work properly while printing wifi from my computer (Windows 10 64bit) for no apparent reason. The files get stucked in the waiting line and no error message appears.

So I decided to unistall everything and re installing the drivers. From the official page the file suggested (the most recent) is getting correctly dowloaded but after its launch nothing happen, then after hours spent with the helping bot in the chat I dowloaded HP Smart from windows store. At that point my printer is nowhere to be seen, I tried to add manually writing hostname but nothing.

Weird stuff is that the printer is working wirelessy from my Huawei phone and if I print from my computer wireless via "HP ePrint + JetAdvantage" but I rather go as before just sending my files directly to the device.

What can I do about it? Is there any bug due to Windows 10 latest update? I tried everything

Hi Francesco,

Your printer is not supported by HP Smart, therefore you are unable to select it, as listed by the below chart:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2843711-2427128-16

Install your printer's Full Feature Software as suggested by @TEJ1602 above:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/lj_M12/win/hp_LJPM11-M13_Full_Solution-v20160225-...

If the software extracts but doesn't launch browse to C:\LJPM11-M13_Full_Solution and double click HpSetup.exe to launch the installation, then follow the steps on the screen.

Be sure not to plug a USB cable till the installation guide to do so.

@pimpumpam, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To resolve this issue quickly, download and run our automated HP Print and Scan Doctor Diagnostic tool. This tool will remove all the print jobs stuck in the queue, clear the print spooler, detect if there are other problems, diagnose and fix the issues without manual intervention.

If you still have issues, I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

1)In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2) Select your HP Printer

3) Select Uninstall

4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab

9) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10) Select Ok

11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12) Close Devices and Printers.

Once the uninstallation is complete, you can download and install the latest software from here.

Keep me posted.

Cheers 🙂

Hey, thanks a lot for helping but unfortunately it still doesn't work.

I deleted all the drivers as you said, and after I tried to reinstall the printer with the "HP Smart app" that you made me download.

The app doesn't see nor recognize my device.

So I run the "HP print and scan doctor" and it sees my printers in USB connection (and this is working) and it also sees the same device with the Wireless connection. Once I choose for the last one, the system tells me that the printer is not installed.

Then I re-try again with HP Smart but following all procedure: I arrive to the point where it has been asked to me to connect temporarily the device via USB but once is done and I press continue, the system searches for a couple of minute the device and without finding it is coming back to the same window where it´s still asked to me to connect temporarily... now you understand that this it starts to be pretty frustrating.

please help me out to get out from this circle

thanks

Francesco
