Every once in a while the Support Assistant in the tray gives me two exclamation points ( !! ) and says I have an update for my laser printer.  It's the same version I already have.  I've had absolutely no problems with the printer but let it update anyway.    Now it's telling me a week later that I have ANOTHER update.  I checked and the latest update for my printer was back in May 2016.

My big problem is I can't see a way to just dismiss the demand to update.  Every time the computer boots up it's still whining to update.  Do I have to delete the program to stop this?  I love the idea of HP suggesting an update, but not if it won't leave you alone until you do, even if it's needless.

Boy, I'd appreciate a way to dismiss the demand.  Anyone know a way to do this

Much thanks,

Alan
