I am trying to put a password on the HP wireless direct password in the HTML config website it gives me. But it does not give me the option for typing the password.

The HP Support Forums is a great way to get answers. I am happy to help. I see you would like to setup a password with the HP Wireless Direct and your HP LaserJet Pro P1109w . You are not seeing the option.

I would like you to get started on page 28 of your User Guide. 

Does this help, are you now able to set a password?

My embedded web thing for my printer does not give me the option to set a password, just a network name.

If you have a router, Wireless Direct is to be turned off. This is only for those who don't have a router and ISP. Turn off Wireless Direct in the printer. Connect your printer to your routers SSID with password.
