HP Laserjet 600 M602
Microsoft Windows 11

I'm using a Surface Laptop 7 with an Arm processor and cannot get this driver to work. I've tried Windows auto update, Windows 10 driver, and tried to install specific HP software for the printer, but nothing will work. I see other people have posted online last year in 2024, I cannot find a solution.

Are we still waiting on ARM drivers? Is there a workaround?

Currently the only ARM specific driver I am aware of would be the HP Smart Universal Printer Driver. Worth a try.

I've seen this answer posted before, and the link to the Universal Printer Driver does not work any longer as you cannot download the driver using the link provided.

What I got to work was installing HP Smart and having it install the universal driver for me.

This gets the printer printing, but you have no access to the robust printer options or advance features available.

HP really needs to create ARM drivers for their printers ASAP! My company cannot reliably use our new laptops and I'm sure many more are experiencing the same issue.

Weird, that link does appear to be broken. Here is a direct link to the download

Hi,

set up the printer using the built‑in Microsoft IPP Class driver for printing, and use the eSCL driver for scanning. These universal drivers are ARM‑compatible and will let your HP LaserJet 600 M602 work properly.
