HP1109W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have Eero 6 mesh recently. Once installed, HP1109W (Product CE662A) will not connect.

 (1) Tried Legacy Eero function; but does not connect.

(2) Tried updating drivers through connecting w/ laptop via USB.  Connects and updates, but as soon as I try to test if it will connect via Eero -- not happening.  Windows 10 says it is OFFLINE. 

(3) FYI, both PC laptop and iPhone will not print. 

(4) Tried Scan Dr and no fix.

(5) Called Eero support, unable to fix. 

(6) Called Geek Squad, unable to fix.

(7) HP getting lots of web commentary re: Eero not connecting w/ HP Printers.  Have read about work-a-rounds such as assigning Static IP address, but don't know how to try this.

(8) Am assuming that the technology for Eero is "past" the 1109W printer, but would like to keep using this VERY simple and good product --- OR try another mesh that won't reject the HP1109W.

 

If you are able to provide an answer, kindly "put the cookies on the lowest shelf" so I can try it.  Many thanks!!

Make sure your router has 2,4GHz wireless enabled, the printer can't connect to 5GHz wireless.

Hi -- did find way to change to 2.4.  Tried again.  Does not connect.  Any other ideas?
