Hi,
We have an issue on a W2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server where a specific user can no longer print to the HP Laserjet M602N on our print server.
There are no relevant errors in the event log. The spool on the server is empty. He does not get an error either. Just an endless hourglass. Others on the RD Server can print without a problem to that same printer. When I open the printer properties as that user and print a test page, the printer properties screen becomes unresponsive. When closing the properties screen, windows expolorer needs to be restarted.
I tried logging off the user, removing and reinstalling the printer from the RD Server, removing the printer from the print server and reinstalling with the latest print driver from HPE Download. Reinstalled the printer on the RD Server but still this user can not print to that printer! Also same printer properties screen issue.
He can print to other HPE LJ4100 printers just fine.
I checked the registry. The registry size is 1207 MB status OK.
Anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot and fix this?
TIA,
Fred

After removing the HP Software from the print server, removing the printer from print server and terminal server, restarting both the servers and reinstalling the HP software and shared printer, the issue was fixed.
Not sure if the issue was on the terminal server, persistent over sessions only for that user or on the print server or both.
It is working again and will monitor the situation.
