HP Recommended
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Have "old" (10 yrs.) HP Laserjet 4050 printer. Great printer, Bulletproof. Now getting Error message E10  2. What does this error message mean? Can I fix this or do I need to buy new printer?  PS: I'm old and technology "challenged". Help!

Is it EIO 2 Error? 

EIO 2 is whwer the network card seated at, EIO card is the network card, you can pull it out and insert it into the place again to see if it helps of course power off 4050 first.

Or you can change the EIO card from EIO 2 to EIO 1 to see what will happen.

if all trys are fail then you may have a bad EIO card needed to be replaced or just use the LPT port directedly.
