Product: HP Laserjet 1300
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

I keep getting an alert that the Mac OS 10.14.4 wants to update the HP LaserJet 1300 software but if I say OK it then says the software can't be found on the update server.  Then the printer won't work unless I do a restart.  It was working fine.  HELP.

The HP LaserJet 1300 is only supported on Mac OS up to OS 9.

Thus, HP will not be able to assist you with this one.  The software update you are referring to is likely coming from the Mac OS or some other application.

 

You will have to try contacting Apple to see if they can offer any work arounds or software fixes for this situation.
