Hi there. I have a new HP Laserjet Pro M477fdw Wireless All-in-one Color Printer.
I have a desktop computer with an ethernet connection for internet, but I've connected my desktop to the new printer with a USB cable.
I have wifi and an extender for the wifi. I named one of the extended networks 'Printer' and intend to dedicate that network to the printer.
The problem is that when I scan and want to save it to a network or to a file on my desktop, I can't do it since my desktop isn't on a wifi network. Even when I turned on the wifi (and turned off the ethernet connection), I wasn't able to save to a file or network since the wifi network that I turned on was different from the network the printer is on.
Is there a way to save from my wifi connected printer directly to my hardwired desktop? I can only figure out how to save to email, a network, or a USB drive.
Thank you!
