I am trying to figure out how to print on heavy paper and I want to turn up the fuser temperature on my printer to correct toner smear on heavy paper. I need to turn up the fuser temp or slow the paper feed to get the toner to adhere properly.
I may just need help defining a heavy paper type for microsoft word or defining it in the win 10 printer settings.
any advice would help.
thanks

Have you set the paper type on the control panel to heavy? If you have and you when you print you go into print preferences and select heavy paper then the printer should go fine. One caution, if when installing the printer you allowed Windows 10 to install a "windows class driver" instead of the proper HP driver your options for printer control may be limited. If that is the case then delete the printer and download the current driver from support.hp.com.
