So 2 final questions:

Was my original default
HP Laser Jet M1530 MFP Series PLC 6
printer setup supposed to have the ability to print Postscript print jobs including 32 bit Postscript jobs?

I am looking to soon replace my HP MFP with a newer model.
Will the default driver that comes with a newer model HP printers have built in support for 32 bit Postscript jobs?

@vonsdtw,

Thanks for the update,

As I understand you have two questions, let me try and help you out.

Was my original default
HP Laser Jet M1530 MFP Series PLC 6
printer setup supposed to have the ability to print Postscript print jobs including 32 bit Postscript jobs? Yes, you should be able to print postscript.

You can try to find the drivers available on HP support website, using this link.

If you have issues, please find the UPD drivers: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows - Postscript (Please ensure you select the correct Operating system and version of of Windows before downloading and installing the drivers).

I am looking to soon replace my HP MFP with a newer model.
Will the default driver that comes with a newer model HP printers have built in support for 32 bit Postscript jobs? Likely it should have the drivers inbuilt and it should support printing postscripts.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if you need any further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help you.

Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂
Regards,

Jeet_singh,

Thanks for helping with my last couple of follow up questions.

I looked at the printer driver link you provided.
That is the same Print Driver (dated Oct 2015) that I had installed and mentioned in my first post.
I will attach a screenshot of what I had downloaded and installed.
That Oct 2015 driver did not work as I also mentioned in my video link (a few post pack). It throws the error.

The Universal PS driver (HP Universal Print Driver PS x64 6.4.1.22169) you recommended did work.

I have no idea the HP Full Feature driver failed but the HP Universal driver worked?

Or to put it another way why is the Universal Driver not part of the HP Full Feature driver download?

@vonsdtw,

As I understand you want to know why universal print driver is not part of the full feature.  The reason being it is a more generic driver which is compatible with a majority of laserjet printer.

I hope this answers your question. Do let me know if you need any further assistance.

Take care now and do have a fabulous week ahead. 🙂

I just wanted to tell you it fixed my problem. I have a different printer so I let it install itself at the end. Nothing on the web had helped. I followed every step of your instructions and believe me every step was necessary -- total success. Thank you! I learned a lot too!
