I just received a new iPad. It won’t “find” my printer to print to. It’s my understanding that the LaserJet Pro M12w printer is not compatible with AirPrint. Is there any way to print from the iPad to the LaserJet Pro M12w?
Help!

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand you need help printing on the HP Laserjet Pro M12w via your new iPad,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
(Before I jump into asking questions, I must Congratulate you for the new device & wish you a Happy new year)
That said, Did you attempt using the HP ePrint as the AirPrint isn't supported?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:
You are right, The HP Laserjet Pro M12w does not support Apple's Airprint,
however you may print using the HP Smart app as listed by the following chart:
NOTE:
The HP ePrint app retired for Apple iOS devices on May 31, 2017. For more information, see How does the retirement of the iOS version of the HP ePrint app affect my Apple iOS device? in the Frequently asked questions (FAQs) section.
The HP ePrint app is a mobile application that lets you print to any supported HP printer that is on the same wireless network as your mobile device and to cloud-connected printers. HP ePrint is a cloud-based service that lets you email the document or photo you want to print directly to a HP web-enabled printer from anywhere with an active Internet connection. Go to Setting Up and Using HP ePrint for more information.

Hi,
The HP ePrint app has been retired on iOS as listed above.
Please use the HP Smart app intead to print from your iOS Device to the M12w:

Thank you, Shlomi. I downloaded the HP Smart app you suggested. The app “found” my printer & appears on screen as if it’s working, but the document never actually prints from the printer. Here’s what I did:
Opened a pdf document;
Copied it to the HP Smart app & opened the document from within the app;
The app recognized my printer & I clicked on the print button;
The app goes through the steps of sending the pages (1, 2, & 3) to the printer & appears to work fine;
BUT then the pages never actually come out of the printer.
Afterward I sent a “test” print from my HP laptop to make sure the printer is connected, etc, and that document (from the laptop) printed fine. Any ideas why the printer is not ‘receiving’ the document from the iPad via the Smart app & printing it? Maybe it’s a setting somewhere?
Thanks for any help you can give.
