I have changed the paper setting in Tray 1 and Tray 2 to Hvy Glossy and I tried x-Hvy Glossy and every time the paper jams. Trying to print on this waterslide paper is getting expensive. 😞 Please help....what am I doing wrong? Tray 1 grabs the paper but doesn't do anything with it and Tray 2 tries to pull it through but it gets jamed when going through at the back. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

The question is does your printer support that type/kind of paper ? It supports the following media types
Paper (bond, brochure, colored, glossy, heavy, letterhead, light, photo, plain, preprinted, prepunched, recycled, rough), transparencies, labels, envelopes, cardstock.
Its specs

How do you classify Waterslide Decal Paper on the above list ?
Regards.

As others suggested, do you have Laser Certified Waterslide labels or inkjet. They are two completely different products and not interchangeable. The inkjet label will soften when going through the fuser and either crumple or jam.

I am using a Waterslide Decal Paper for a Laser Printer.

I'm not sure where or if it fits somewhere on that list.
Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you. I am using Waterslide Decal Paper for use with Laser Printers by blinggasm. Could it just be the brand/quality of paper that I am using? Is there a quality waterslide paper that you could recommend? I've searched HP and can not find an HP Waterslide paper.
Thank you,
Melissa

Just to clarify, is the paper picked up at all or do the rollers just slip on the surface? You can try cleaning the pickup rollers with a lint free cloth dampened with water. In terms of settings I would avoid heavier paper settings as that will increase the amount of heat which can cause problems with the media, something pointed out on one vendors site I was checking because the product piqued my interest.

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried EVERYTHING! I have read every single blog, been to every forum and have had no luck. I'm using a brand new HP Color LaserJet M452dw.
Manual Feed Tray, Tray 1. Glossy paper, Transparency, Mid weight paper. General Every Day printing, made sure my driver was up to date.
It prints on regular paper fine. The color looks great, regardless of the paper weight settings. The minute I put my white laser waterslide (I have to use white because my image has white in it, also this paper is glossy) paper in I run into every issue in the book. The paper jams, sometimes it prints 3/4 of the way, sometimes it doesn't even print at all, it's jammed before toner is applied to the sheet. Sometimes toner is applied but never burned onto the paper, so you can literally wipe the toner right off the sheet. It appears as though the printer is brabbing the paper because there are feeder marks on the entire sheet of paper. I've let the printer completely cool down and printing for the first time is just as bad as printing off of a printer that is warmed up.
The only thing that has worked ok for me ONE time was changing the paper weight to transparency, however the color is is so faint and completely off from what it's supposed to look like.
Please help, it's so expensive to print on this paper only to have every print fail. I've attempted 22 times on the waterslide paper.

Hi, I used to have the same problem.
I use this setting and work for me. I have a Color LaserJet Pro M452nw
1. I use tray 1 on manual feed.
2. In Printer setting I choose Card Glossy paper 176-220g, then press print.
3. Insert paper on tray 1, press [ok] button on printer.
I hope this can help you.
