About the only way to clear the event log is to perform a super NVRAM reset. Do a google search but keep in mind it will reset the printer back to as it came from the factory but will also remove the serial number, reset all page counts to 0 and require setting up again as though it came out of the box. The event log contains the last 50 events so as newer events take place and the count is at 50 the older events come off the log.
