CP2025
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm getting blue and yellow splotches on my pages. I opened my printer (CP2025) and saw lots of toner deposits, likely because I've been using cheap clone cartridges (learned my lesson!). The prints are still crisp and line-free, I'm just getting the random blotches.

Is this something a cleaning would solve? I so, how do I do it? I tried removing the cartridges and blowing compressed air through, but it seemed to make the problem worse. 😕

Bad toner cartridges that should be replaced.

Empty the waste toner first if you can maybe it can be cured otherwise they have to be replaced.

BTW, I should've mention that I did a clean thru the system menus and it helped a little, but the blotches are still pretty bad (sometimes dozens per page, about the size of this letter oh: "o", in random places). I'm thinking I need to clean some parts or maybe replace something?

Thanks @East2100! That solved my problem!! I took the two end caps of the yellow cartridge and the waste container was overflowing. I dumped it out and cleaned it with some air. The rest of the cartridge looked good to my untrained eye, so I put it back together and now it's printing beautifully again. I can't believe it. Was simple to do and now I have my printer back again. I'm indebted.
