LG Gram laptop shows message  "Cartridge low. Please click here for more information".

The message hides what I'm looking at, then (eventually) goes away.  Maybe it stays for a given number of minutes?

The printer display shows low yellow toner, & says it does not yet need be replaced.  I have the cartridge, ready to go.

There must be a way to disable this message.  Have looked a little, have not found it.

Thanks for looking at this problem.

Laser printers work differently from the Inkjet models with which I am familiar.

I can offer the following ideas - "something" might be useful enough that you can extrapolate what you need.

==========================================================

Settings > Devices > Printers and Scanners

Right side of window > Print server properties > Tab Advanced

UNCHECK (clear both boxes) for "Show informational notifications..."

OK to save changes and exit menu

==========================================================

Settings > System > Notifications & actions

Simplest:  Switch Off "Get notifications from apps and other senders"

This pretty much shuts down "notices" that plague you.

NOTE:  Setting does not affect your Security software (which is a good thing).

==========================================================

Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to customize "when" you are notified about supplies.

Your printer EWS - User Guide -

  1. Open EWS - Page 96
  2. Adjust Supply Settings - See Page 97 - Tab System > Supply Settings

Example is from an Officejet Pro 9025

NOTE:  "Supply Settings" are in a different location than on your printer.

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Supplies > Supply Settings

Set custom settings

Click OK to save changes

That solved the problem!  Had been through the manual, but (if it's there) didn't see it.

I unchecked the box for "show informational notifications".

Immediate relief from the pain!

Thanks!!
