When printing any documents at the very top of the page is a huge X & next to it the pic of maybe a printer but to me it looks kinda like r2d2. These 2 diagrams use up valuable space not to mention paper & make legal docs look very unproffesional. In the forum a personlaid down how to correct the issue but if that didn't work I would have to do an NVRAM reset. this person also said it was confidential on how to do it & after leaving my response he would email me & give me instructions on how to do it but to date I haven't recieved anything.

I'm having the same situation that the "Professor" helped me to correct. His solution worked over the last week or so but now it has gone back to where when wanting to print anything a large X along side the outline of a printer appear on top of the page being printed which takes additonal space along with ink & it's very unprofessional when printing legal docs. Does anyone have a solution to this very purplexing condition?

Print defects are not related to the NVRAM reset solution provided above. Additional troubleshooting will be required.
Best way to do this is to start a new thread with a copy of the print defect. Provide the information someone would need to recreate the problem such as the application name, version, OS, and any steps you are using when sending print jobs to the printer. Also, try printing a report page direct from the control panel of the printer. This will rule out all software and application configuration issues. Attach a copy of the print defect on this report if you can recreate the problem here too.
