I am trying to find out how to turn off the power saving option on my printer, as there does not appear to be any way to disable the power saving options.
Can anyone help me as it is becoming very frustrating, that the printer goes to sleep / turns off and does not awaken when i want to use it.
Further, when it turns off, even though i turn it back on again, it shows up as being offline.
Help please.

Some of the current small office home products have no method of completely disabling sleep and power save options. This is mandated by Eco requirements in some jurisdictions. The printer should wake up if only in standby, make sure that the wake up events settings in the energy settings includes the type of interface you are using, ie: usb or network.
As for the printer showing offline, if you are networking connecting this has nothing to do with the printer but is a Windows issue. If your printer is using a WSD port for network communication and you are allowing Windows to manage your printer, rarely will Windows acknowledge that the printer is reconnected or an error has been cleared. On your PC, go to control panel>devices and printers and right click the icon for your printer and select "printer properties" Go to the ports tab and see what type of port is being used, If WSD then you want to change the port type to Standard TCP/IP. For reliability I recommend you set the IP address on the printer to a static address so it is always on the same address, even if turned off for a period of time. To turn off Windows print management, right click the icon for your printer and select "set as default printer". You will be warned that this will disable Windows print management, say ok and you should be good.
