I printed mostly from the portrait setting and changed it once to print on a landscape setting and now it will not return to portrait although I re-set the settings to portrait in all the programs I've used.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Flower_Bud is at your service.
As I understand, you're unable to select portrait settings,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Does this happen while printing from any application?
Have you tried printing from different applications?
Are you able to change other print settings?
While you respond to that, let's perform a root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here.
Once completed, try printing in portrait mode 🙂
Keep me posted,
Cheers!
