Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Color LaserJet CP 1518ni printer that is off line and won't connect. Operating system Windows 10 64 bit version. When I print a document I get a message that says error. I need help connecting the printer. Thanks

Are you connected with a USB cable or network?

 

If Network, check your IP address settings on both the computer and the printer to make sure that the printer driver on your computer matches what the printer has set as the IP address. Most likely one of them changed. 

 

If USB, check the cable connections at both ends and reseat the cable at both ends to make sure they are fully seated and plugged in.

Thanks to ALS 77 for the quick response to my problem. I am a new member to the HP  Community and glad to be supported by a wonderful group of scholars who able to provide sound advice and support to troubled minds who get stuck and frustrated because the printer or some other device is not working correctly. The information you provided  helped me identify the source of the problem and resolve it  in short order.    KUDOS are in order for ALS77
