@Farrukh800,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting an error on the printer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Remove USB cable, if present.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  4. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If you continue facing the issue, then connect the printer using the USB cable and then try updating the printer firmware.

Follow the steps in the below article.

Hello,  I am having the same issue.  Interesting that there are several people with the same printer problem all at the same time.  I am going to try your solution now.  I previously did the first steps of taking the power cord out and re-inserting it.  however, I plugged it back into a a three way extension cord.  I will now try plugging it directly into the wall outlet.  wish me luck!  thank you for being available.

ok.... so it didn't work. sigh!  still are receiving the same error msg.  Somewhere on another site the reply to this problem was to download firmware.  However, in trying to do so the download didn't complete because it said it couldn't connect with the printer.   Now, I was able to connect the printer yesterday, via wireless by downloading the respective software.  It is only today when we turned the printer back on that we are experiencing this problem.  thank you

@montana2us,

What is the exact model for your printer?

What is the operating system you are using?

Follow the steps in the below article to update the printer firmware.

NOTE: Make sure the printer is connected via USB cable to your computer before doing the update.

I've read the the other blogs about this same printer model withe the NO Strings in RO.  My printer was always previously used for printing only via iphone wireless.  I bought a laptop and installed the software and was trying to connect to the printer and all of a sudden I got this message.  Currently the printer in not installed in the computer and the computer cannot find the printer via usb or via plugged in to network.  I've done the power of cycle for 2-3 minutes and holding down the power button, but I don't know how to connect to the printer to even do the firmware update, if that is what the printer needs.
