I'm getting ink stains on all color print outs

I only use HP cartridges.  For many months now, every printer page includes a row of blue ink "stains" or uneven lines.  If I force black and white printing only, it doesn't appear.  See the pic.  Anytime there is a color on the document, I get the blue lines.  If the document was black only, no blue lines.  ?

Bad cyan toner cartridge needed to be replaced.

Thanks!  I can easily get a new Cyan cartridge.   The current one is about 70% full.  It’s an HP one. Is there some warranty possibility?   I get them thru Office Max.

Yes, there's warranty on HP's cartridges, ask them for replacement.

Update:  I put a new Cyan cartridge in and problem solved!  
Thanks for that suggestion - you were exactly right.

BTW - I get my cartiridges from Office Max and they said if I can find the receipt from the original purchase of the defective one, they'd refund or give me a credit.  So, I'm digging for the receipt.
