HP 401A

Good day,

I just want to ask for advice about cartridges that we received. We had 6 LaserJet Pro MFP M477fdw printer and I ordered 6 cartridges in each color (black/cyan/magenta/yellow). As I checked, 4 printers reads/recognize  all the cartridges but the strange part that the 2 printer showing all color cartridges cyan/magenta/yellow were incompatible but the black color don't have any issue.

Hope you can give me some tips/advice for this issue.

Thank you in advance.

Are these oem or 3rd party?  Just had a client with an issue where his 3rd party black cartridge would cause printer to show all cartridges as bad. Replace the black and everything worked fine.

You might also want to check the firmware version on all the printers to make sure they're all the same and up to date. If the printers that are having a problem have different versions than the others, it might be that.

Have you tried the "incompatible" toner cartridges in the other printers that don't have an issue to see if they can read them OK? Sometimes the cartridges are defective outright, but sometimes they just don't work right in some printers. Swapping the cartridges around to other printers that accept them might work.
