Installing an older version of firmwar

Good day. Faced a problem in this model.

Most of the printers in the office have firmware version 20180201. Employees have noticed that when printing doc, docx, pdf and  graphic files, the size of the printed one is compressed. Literally 5 millimeters from the side and bottom. For some employees, this is critical.

We found in the office a printer of the same model, but with firmware 20170324 and no problems with it. Prints the correct size. We printed from different computers, with a different software package and tried all versions of drivers. The problem is in the firmware of the printer, on the old version there is no such problem.

On your company's FTP, you found an old firmware lj500M521fw_20170324.rfu

Can we update this printer with old firmware? Is it possible to return to an older firmware version?

There is no problem if you want to downgrade printers firmware to an older version.

Thanks for the answer. But I would like to hear more confirmation. I read that there are cases when the prnter stops working after the rollback version. Not all models support this method.
