Very annoying printer. Always causes problems. Very slow. Now saying in suffieicnt memory to print out a 12 page PDF. I have removed and re installed all the afotware. I have also checked that it prints from notes. The test page came out saying I was web connected. I connect to my mac by USB.

All I wanyt is easy no fuss printing.

Please advise. I am still in warrenty.

Insufficient Memory is referring to a memory problem on the printer.  Your connected PC and its software wont have an impact on a problem like that.

What you need to do is perform a process to clear the memory on the printer.  We can do this by calling either the Restore Defaults process or a Cold/NVRAM reset.  Start with restoring the defaults.  This process can be looked up from the User Manual and accessed from the normal control panel.

If that doesnt work then we can look up the steps to Cold or NVRAM reset your printer from the special boot menu.  Cold Reset is best and likely all you would need to do so we would try that one next.

Many thanks fo rtaking time to reply.

I reinstalled the whole software and rebooted and this cleared the problems. Why is it happening, the memory problems that is?

I am getting the same insufficient memory flag. Can you make the solution a bit simpler for a non techie like me?

I uninstalled the HP drivers from my mac and then re downloaded them from the internet. Reinstalled and it worked. Nothing more techie than that. good luck
