LaserJet Pro m404n

Dear Support Team and community,

I have a few M404n printers, and I would like to print with duplex option.

As I know, it is possible to buy duplex module for M404dn.

Is that module (RM2-5666) compatible for the M404n model?
Is there manual for installing that module?

Hi @Azirafel

It is not compatible, the compatible models are listed below:

HP LaserJet Managed E50145dn
HP LaserJet Pro 4001DN

Best regards

Just to add for clarity, simply adding the duplex unit to this model does not give you duplex printing. The formatter is different for the duplex models and the duplex instructions are baked into that formatter and would not become active by simply adding the hardware.
