Hello

We have software that only prints in the PCL 6 format.  I have 2 printers here, a LasterJet Pro MFP M130FN and an HP LaserJet P1006.  I have been doing some reading.  Is it possible to use the HP UPD (universal printer driver) to convert the documents to a format compatible with either of my two printers?

Thanks

It has nothing to do with the document. The problem is that the PCLms driver contains the coding necessary to create a PCL document.  Printers that support the UPD driver are used with printers that have the PCL interpreter built into the printer.

Easiest explanation, a PCLms printer is dumber than a standard printer and requires the computer to perform the PCL formation.

I was hoping for a yes or no answer.  If UPD does not perform the PCL 6 to PCLms conversion, is there a way to do that or is it not possible?
