MFP M277dw

Hi,

I am trying to use the Print and Cut feature on my Silhouette Cameo (cutting machine) and when it prints, the image comes out in two colors in various areas.  For example, the letter "M" is half black and half blue when I wanted it to be blue.  I converted the Silhouette file to a pdf and it printed out just fine.  However, I need to print the file through Silhouette for it to work for my intended purposes.  Can anyone help me?

Thanks!
JS

Thank you for joining HP Forums.

I'll be glad to help you 🙂

As I understand you want to know if Silhouette Cameo is compatible with the laser jet m277dw,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Have you attempted to reinstall the printer drivers using the HP website? Click here if you haven't done that yet.

While you attempt the above suggested steps, here're a few more things you should know:

Calibrating the Silhouette is only required for adjusting the cutting alignment as it relates to print & cut jobs. Calibration should only be performed if there are concerns specifically encountered with cut lines not aligning with the contour of printed images during print & cut jobs that use Registration Marks.

If misalignment is not universally the same distance off around the entire image, then calibration is not the proper course of action and further information about setting up print & cut files should be reviewed. If misalignment is universally the same distance off around the entire image and all steps for proper set up of a print & cut file has been reviewed, then you may proceed with the process of calibrating the Silhouette.

Steps to calibrate the Silhouette are as follows:
NOTE: If you have a sketch pen, it may be preferable to a blade in order to more clearly view the results and make adjustments accordingly.

  1. Open Silhouette Studio®
  2. Go to the Send to Silhouette menu
  3. In the upper part of the window, in the empty area near the image of the Silhouette, right click and select Calibration
  4. Once viewing the Calibration page, go to the File > Print option to print out a copy to your printer
