Is there a way to print >#8 (3.625X6.5)< envelopes on a HP 4000TN without getting stuck?

Thank you very much Dragon-Fur(Provost) for your response. I had already checked out the specs for my printer printer a while back and found that the #8 envelope is not included in the envelopes it can print. But while I was waiting for a response on this site I found a work-around. The program I use is 'My MailList' to print my envelopes because it can print barcodes. The solution I tried was to make a layout on a #10 envelope and offsetting the address and return address to the right. (It took I little trial and error to get them just right). But still feed a #8 envelope into the printer. This works so far for every envelope I printed. Apparently this fools the printer that I am using a longer envelope and prolongs the drive time long enough for the shorter envelope to pass all the way through. Again Thanks for your response. I still will check out the other references you gave.

My Opinion:  Maybe not.

Product Introduced mid-late 1997

A very quick check appears to show that information in the Website Support page > User Guides for this printer is a bit sparse on the subject.

For example:

HP PCL/PJL reference (PCL 5 Printer Language) - Technical Quick Reference Guide

The User Guide provides a "bit" of information on the subject (Page 37).

You should certainly take time to make a more thorough check of the available data.

I did find this Specification / Datasheet that lists the supported envelope sizes:

HP LaserJet 4000 series printers - Technical Data

Excerpted

Envelope Sizes #10 Regular 105 x 241 mm (4.125 x 9.5 in) size, 96 x 233 mm (3.8 x 9.2 in) printable area.Monarch 98 x 191 mm (3.875 x 7.5 in) size, 90 x 182 mm (3.5 x 7.2 in) printable area. DL 110 x 220 mm (4.3 x 8.7 in) size, 102 x 212 mm (4.0 x 8.3 in) printable area
