I inserted a new cartridge of toner, and got an error message (it may have been 709, but I'm not sure). The display screen says there is a jam in the output bin. I have opened & closed the door, and there is no paper there. I've powered off, left it for a few days, came back, turned it on, replaced the toner, and it still says there's a jam in the output bin.

Actually, the cause was with the new cartridge. There was a black paper that I should have pulled out, covering the roller. It came off inside the back door, so I couldn't see it when I opened the door. The support pages helped me figure out how to pull out the toner and access the fuser, and the paper was lying there.

When the paper feeds into the output bin it raises some fingers up and then they fall back down and if those fingers stick up you may have a false jam.
