Kindly confirm the print capacity of pre installed toners/starter cartridges for HP COLOR LASER-JET PRO MFP M476DW.

It has just been purchased by my employer, as such there has been an allegation of profligacy because the retailer claimed that the starter cartridge can print 4000pages.

Checking the specs for the printer the regular cartridges are rated for 2400 pages at a 5% coverage rate.  Not sure about the starter cartridges but these are usually mush less.  A 5% coverage rate is about 6 single spaced lines of text per page of regular print.

To add to the details provided by @sabretooth04, the datasheet for the Colour LaserJet Pro MFP M476 series printers indicates that the introductory cartridges have a 1200-page yield (at standard coverage):

Magnifiying the ant-print 😉 the starter cartridges are good for about 1200 pages.
