Nothing's changed in terms of hardware or software.
Printer stopped responding to network calls and its IP is now a 169.254.*.*
I managed to make it visible on the router's connected devices information screen, where it shows that 169.* IP instead of a 192.* as it should. The PC still can't see it.

The 169 IP means you are not connected to the router. I assume you are connected via Ethernet since this is not a wireless printer.
Reset the printer back to Factory/Network defaults. Verify the LAN cable is connected and the lights on the router are correct. More info is in your User Guide.
Try using a Static IP in the printer outside the DHCP address range in the router.
