Nothing's changed in terms of hardware or software.

Printer stopped responding to network calls and its IP is now a 169.254.*.*

I managed to make it visible on the router's connected devices information screen, where it shows that 169.* IP instead of a 192.* as it should. The PC still can't see it.

The 169 IP means you are not connected to the router.   I assume you are connected via Ethernet since this is not a wireless printer.

Reset the printer back to Factory/Network defaults.   Verify the LAN cable is connected and the lights on the router are correct.   More info is in your User Guide.

Try using a Static IP in the printer outside the DHCP address range in the router.
