My CM1415 all of a sudden just stop printing.
The printer is not connected to wifi and i've go to settings to change it. it will not connect to my wifi.
I also tried a direct USB connection to install or update the driver. It proceeded but then returns with a message
that it cannot update or complete the installation(i'll double check the error message when i get home).
However, its as if the attennae within the unit has been disabled. It will not connect wifi and it will not connect with direct ethernet connection.
Thanks.

Hellow @iammrspartan,
Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand you're unable to print from your computer.
Please follow the steps mentioned below and let me know how it goes.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to check connectivity
If you have Windows 8 or 10, use HP Printer and Scan Doctor to automatically fix several types of problems that can cause the printer to go offline. Skip to the next step if your computer does not have Windows 8 or 10.
-
Make sure the printer is turned on, has paper installed, and is connected to your computer.
-
If you are using a USB cable connection, make sure the cable is connected to the printer and the computer.
-
If you are using a network cable connection, make sure a network cable is connected to the printer and your network router or hub.
-
If you are using a wireless connection, make sure the wireless light or wireless symbol on the printer is on and not blinking. Press the wireless button on the printer control panel to turn on wireless connectivity.
-
-
From the computer that you are trying to print from, download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor. When this link is clicked, HP Print and Scan Doctor is downloaded using your Internet browser's download capabilities.
-
If Print and Scan Doctor does not open automatically, double-click the HP Print and Scan Doctor icon on the Windows desktop.
-
Click Start on the Welcome screen.
-
Select your printer, and then click Next.
NOTE:
If your printer is not in the list, make sure the software for your printer is installed.
Figure: Select your printer
-
If a screen displays with Selected product is not connected, click your connection type, and then respond to the information provided.
If the printer remains offline after completing all of the actions shown on the screen, close the Print and Scan Doctor window, and then continue to the next step.
-
Click Fix Printing, and then wait until the screen updates with the new information.
-
Review the information on the screen and respond to any action that requires your personal attention.
-
Click Test Print to see if the problem still exists.
-
If the test page prints, close the Print and Scan Doctor window.
-
If a test page does not print, click No Print, click Continue, and then click Restart Computer to install additional updates.
-
If the printer continues, click continue to the next step.
If I have helped you resolve the issue

Hi Singh,
Thanks for your reply.
However, i fail to mention that my printer will not connect to my wireless or wired network.
I've connected to the printer via wired and the ethernet lights are not even blinking to show some activity.
I'm thinking the transceiver within the printer has failed.
Where can I get it repaired, or can parts be ordered for this printer.
Thanks.

Another remark,
The HP DOC works. I was able to print a test page.
However, my printer loses wifi connection. Upon losing connection, the printer will not reconnect or it doesn't find my wifi network.
When i turn power off to the printer and turn it back on, it picks up my wifi with good signal strength. In about 5 minutes or so, it loses connection to my wifi and is unable to reconnect.
The printer has been in the same place , same environment for years and is now losing connection to my wifi. Do you think it could be the transceiver inside the printer? I'm tempeted to use only a wired connection, however , my family uses wifi and prints to it.

Hello, @iammrspartan
I see that you were interacting with @Jeet_singh. He is out of office and I'd like to help 🙂
I'd suggest you update the printer firmware to try and fix this issue. There was a firmware released to improve the network stability of this printer. So connect the USB cable from the printer to your PC and then go to http://hp.care/2pgziJ1 to download and update the printer firmware. Restart the printer once done.
If the issue persists, I'd also suggest you perform a complete factory reset on the machine. I am sending you a private message with the steps. Please check the mailbox icon at the top right corner of your screen to access your inbox.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂
