LaserJet 1020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP LaserJet 1020 roller recently started to rolls twice when gettin paper. All these years the roller rolled only once when gettin paper (until he bites the paper) and then the sheet continues way up to be printed. Now the first 3 sheets are printed well with only one roll but the four and so on sheets of paper... the roller bites the paper and while the sheet is going up, then roller BITES AGAIN THE SAME SHEET and things get really messy...

I removed and cleaned roller (never done this before) and put it back but the result is the same.
Please help me, I really love my printer and don't want to change it.

Here is video of the problem I just uploaded on youtube:

I the clutch is sticky. On the side of the printer where the gears are located you will find electronic clutches.Disconnect power and energise the clutch manually to see if releases .Or just check the gear that it connects on have like a stop to stop the roller from turning more than once.Hope this might help.

Hi @malgitobi,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing issues with your HP LaserJet 1020 Printer wherein it feeds multiple pages at a time.

This issue could occur if the pickup roller or the separation pad is damaged.

Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.

And here are a few steps in the link: More Than One Page at a Time Feeds Through the Printer

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.
