When I run HP Easy Start it says no devices have been found. And when I run the HP Firmware Updater it too never finds the device. The printer shows that it is connected wirelessly.
My Mac connects to my old Epson printer just fine.

If there are no printers listed, that means there is a setting on the network that the printer is having an issue with. To resolve this contact your internet provider or whoever maintains the router and ask them to do the following:
- Open all ports.
- Enable Multicasting.
- Disable MAC Filtering/MAC Cloning.
- Disable the Guest network.
- Make sure the network has a 2.4GHz (Giga-Hertz) band.
Please let me know the results after having those settings checked.

Hey @sweetsally,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you are having issues with printing from your Mac OSX 10.11 machine to your Laserjet M277 Printer. I can help you with that.
To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done:
Turn the printer off.
While the printer is powered off, remove the power cable from the back of the router for one minute.
When the lights return on the router, turn the printer on.
Now, on the printer click on the Wireless icon that looks like a radio tower and let me know the first set of digits in the printer's IP Address. For example, if the printer's IP Address is 192.16.1.5, I only need to know 192.
As well, please let me know if the first set of digits of the Mac's IP Address matches the first set of digits on the printer's IP Address.
Once I know the above I will be better able to assist you.

Alright, the next thing to do is to see if we can manually add a print queue. To do so:
- Close all programs you have open.
- Click on your Apple icon, System Preferences, and Printers and Scanners.
- Hold down the control key and click on the icon of your printer on the left.
- Click on Reset Printing System.
- Click on the plus icon in the bottom left corner.
- In the new window, select your printer from the list.
- Click in the box next to Use and select your printer from this list.
- Click on Add.
Please let me know the results after following the above.
