@COBound, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028 is printing blank pages even after running diagnostics, here are some targeted troubleshooting steps you can try,
Check Ink Levels and Cartridges
- Make sure the ink cartridges are not empty or dried out.
- Remove and reinstall the cartridges to ensure proper contact.
- If using third-party or refilled cartridges, try genuine HP cartridges to rule out compatibility issues.
Run Printhead Cleaning
- Use the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app to run a printhead cleaning cycle.
- You may need to run this more than once if the nozzles are clogged.
Update Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can cause printing issues. Visit the HP support page to download the latest firmware for your model.
Check Print Settings
- Ensure the correct paper type and print quality settings are selected in the print dialog.
- Try printing from a different application to rule out software-specific issues.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically detect and fix common printing problems.
Reset the Printer
- Unplug the printer while it’s on, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in. This can clear internal memory issues.
Try a Test Page or Copy
- If a copy also comes out blank, the issue is likely hardware-related (e.g., printhead or ink system).
- If only print jobs are blank, it may be a driver or software issue.
