LaserJet Pro MFP M127fw

My USB connection is broken at the circuit board, but it doesn't matter since I use the printer in wireless mode.

Now I have found out that there is a frimware update, but the instruction says that I have to connect to the printer by the USB port........

Is it possible to update the firmware through the LAN port or the wireless connection?

Wireless firmware upgrades are NOT recommended. If during the upgrade you lose your wireless connection, that's all she wrote for the printer. Use a USB or LAN cable connection.

Hi Dean

Thank you so much for your quick reply.

Just to be absolutely certain:

I can install the firmware using the LAN connection (as I mentioned my USB connctor has broken)? -I see your point regarding wifi...
