Hello Mr. Robot.
Sorry for the confusing heading I had before--the firmware was upgraded successfully (see last message to @Sandytech20).
Those are a lot of instructions to follow, but before I tackle all of those, I provide you these items:
1. The iMac devices are not part of my network at home; they just shared the wifi
2. I have a fairly dated router, an SMC Barricade SMCWGBR14-N, so it is unlikely that is supports Bonjour packets.
The iMac devices were able to print before.
When I solved my printer problems on my W7 home network yesterday, I looked into the Airprint issue a bit. Someone online suggested, as a first step to a long list of procedures, resetting the config of printer by holding down the wifi and cancel buttons of printer for 15 seconds. I did this but got distracted with other matters and didn't continue the steps outlined. I did later print a test page, and it did showed my 802.11b/g/n wifi status as "disabled" and Network Name as "unknown" and Authentication as "none (open)"--these items were shown in previous config printout. Nonetheless, I am still able to print via my router/usb port from my PC and over the wifi from my laptop.
Would I perhaps be better off to just uninstall my printer and do a clean install from the installation CD and rebuild from there? I know the iMac devices worked up until a couple of weeks ago, so perhaps something changed with Apple?
Regards
