Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I've been using this printer for several years, always works great.

Then I replaced the toner cartridge, and suddenly everything is printed in a skewed fashion. The words skew up from left to right. All of the alignment instructions explain how to shift things horizontally or vertically, but not sure how to fix this issue where it doesn't print straight.

Any ideas?

Skewing like this is usually caused by an obstruction dragging on the paper causing misfeeding but not enough to jam it. It is also possible you have a defective cartridge. Have you tried printing with the old cartridge?

Thanks for your note. I tried aligning it within the printer settings, but none of my changes did anything. At one point my Y change was nearly a full inch, but the print looked exactly the same.

I use this printer for checks, so alignment is very important. I adjusted the check alignment in my accounting software and that seems to have done the trick.

Making sure the cartridge is pushed in fully (which I've never had to do before) also made a difference. It's an off brand but from the exact same box as my prior cartridge with no issues.
