I used to be able to use LJet 3055 PCL (Microsoft ) driver on win 10 over dot004 port to print on my LJet 1012. But with latest win10 update, that port is gone. Does anyone have a solution for this? This is a new problem as of January 2, 2019

OK, let's make sure of these.
Does 1012 come into ready with green light on when power on? If not then 1012 is bad needed to be fixxed.
Press the green button can it print out demo page? If keep pressing about 3 seconds it will print another page.
If it can not print anything it's bad.
When pluging usb cable into 1012 and PC does Windows 10 see any device coming? If not you may have: 1.usb cable 2.PC usb port itself 3.1012 usb port itself, one of the three is bad which you need to find out which one.
You can change another usb cable, another usb port on PC first.
When everything is fine Windows 10 must have seen a new printer plugged in and creating a Dot4_001 port for 1012, if Windows 10 needs the Dot4_001 driver go HP and download it.
If there's no Dot4_001 port in Windows 10 eventually then you need to find out which one of three is the problem?
Maybe try another PC to see if you can rule ont someone.
Hope it helps.
Another thinking occurs to me. Did you re-start PC?
Check here maybe it helps.
