Laserjet 1150
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Laserjet 1150 on a network.  Recently I made the huge mistake to install the October update  for Windows 10 x64 Professional.  (Before that - aka before the update- all was so fine with my printer)

The 1st issue i encountered  was the classic "printer offline". So i did uninstall & re-install the driver used before, that is

HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) ver.6.6.5.23510

The result is that printer will no longer print documents and outputs the following text:  "Unsupported Personality PCLXL", includin the Print Test Page..

Any suggestions please?

Thank you!

Hi,

Your printer is not supported by HP UPD and such behavior is expected.

Please remove any existing copy of your printer by selecting Remove Device, then reboot your computer.

Next, right-click the Start icon and select Run, paste the following and press OK:

printui /s /t2

Remove any listed HP printer, be sure to select Remove driver and driver package, press OK and confirm any prompt.

Next, reinstall the printer using Windows Update by following the steps listed below:

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04745752#c03470332_WUorDifferentDomain

If the Windows Update process fails, follow Method four to download the drivers from the Windows Update Catalog and install the drivers manually.
