Hi,  I am the owner of this very good printer for 10 years now.  Used only one ink cartridge all these years (I use it only for missionery related work) with not a single problem.  When we bought it we also bought a spare ink cartridge.  However, when I fitted the new ink cartridge I have a problem printing documents.  Every document gives me the same results.  I took it to the local computer shop, who shaked the cartrdige vigorously and I also ran the service option in the HP Toolbox of the printer. The computer guy said I must print a batch of papers and see what happens ... which I have done.  But the result in each printout remains exactly the same. See attachment of printed document.  Can one still make this ink cartridge work after being in storagePrinted Document.jpg  for 10 years?  Thank you for reading my message.

You got a bad toner cartridge.  Since this printer is very old, there are many new in the box old stock of toner cartridges out there.  Over time the wiper blade goes bad just from sitting there.  Suggest you purchase a new toner from a big box store which should have new stock and will enable you to return if the cartridge is bad.
