I have an HP LaserJet 2300dtn, and I keep getting a jam in the top cover area when I print from Tray 3. The paper is just starting to appear in the ouput bin, and I get a jam. About one-half inch of the leading page has just entered the output bin, and a second page is under the toner cartridge, and near the registration assembly. My problem is exactly the same as this listed in an archived topic:
I had this problem with a fuser that was only 3 years old, but I only print under 2000 pages/year. A few days ago, I put in all of the parts of a new maintenance kit, except for the transfer roller. Pickup rollers and separation pads in Trays 1, 2, and 3 were replaced, along with a new fuser. The paper pickups in each tray are fine, but all 3 trays produce errors, Tray 1 the least, Tray 3 the most. Trays 1 and 2 print smoothly for a while, but the timing speeds up, and I get the jams. Most times I see a blank page in the output bin or in the paper path inside the printer. On the worst tray, Tray 3, the printed page is always just entering the output bin, and there is a blank page around the transfer roller. It pulls more than 1 sheet of paper on things like the Supplies Status Page, a job that only prints on 1 sheet of paper. It is not pulling multiple sheets like a bad separation pad, but it even spaces the pickups, and still prints blank pages. I can only get the printer to print correctly, and come to "Ready' again, if I just put 1 sheet of paper in the tray, and print a 1 page job. I've done a cold reset 2X, but this hasn't helped. What is next to do to get this good ole printer working again?

It sounds to me it's Sticky Solenoids still.
When you clean off the Sticky Solenoids you will need to put somrthing in between to provent it bacomes sticky again - it will become magnetized .
What I did before I put electric tape now I just put a V-shape paper it's more easier. It will work a long .....long time.
You have three Solenoids needed to be taken care of, tray1 tray2 are in the 2300,tray3 has its own and seats at right side of tray3 pick-up roller and covered by a cover needed to be take off first to get to it.
If you want you can use a Double-sided tape for them but it might be not necerrary because of it is sticky already.
