There are different reasons for the lack of color. If you print the print quality test pages (this is done from the control panel on the printer) is there color on them? If yes then you have a driver or setting problem. If no color on the PQ tests then it is possible that the drive train is out of sync. If you open the front door and remove all cartridges you can check to make sure that the drive train is properly syncronized.
It is also possible for one bad cartridge to overload the High voltage power supply.
