Laserjet 8150

Hello!  I've been using my Laserjet 8150 for years, but recently I got a 50.1 fuser error, so I replaced the fuser, and unfortunately the error remains.  To make sure the replacement was not also broken, I got yet another OEM fuser, and I still get the error.

I've reset the printer, powered off/on, etc.  Is there anything I'm missing?  Could it be that the printer itself has a problem and is causing the error?

Thanks in advance!

Check the transistors on the low voltage power supply. Used to be issues with cold solder joints causing power issues. Easy fix if you are handy with a soldering iron, just reflow the solder joints on the main large power transistors.

Thanks so much -- that is good to hear.  I'm not so great with soldering, but I noticed I can get a replacement low voltage power supply on eBay for $50.  Are these pretty straightforward to swap out?  Thanks again!

I would remove and examine your power supply before you run out and buy another one. Pretty easy to remove.
