Color Laserjet CM2320fxi MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi!

No matter which of the 3 paper trays I load with paper, my HP Color Laserjet CM2320fxi MFP is not picking it up and just reports 'paper jam in tray X'. Occasionally it prints a single page or the paper actually jams... Any help much appreciated!

Best regards,

Henrik

Common issue on this series. The tray 1 issue is common and has nothing to do with the pick roller but rather an issue with the tray which can not be repaired. As to the other cassette trays the most common issue is the pick roller is worn. Easy to see if you tilt the printer about 45 degrees and shine a light on the roller you will see the center being very smooth and the outer edges will still have small tire tracks. Just replace the pickup rollers and you should be ok.

Thank you very much!

I think you are quite right.

But I am not sure which of the following parts I need, if I want to replace the pickup roller of tray 2 and 3? Can you help me on that?:

    RM1-4840-000CN

All you need is the roller at the link below. Also do a google search on how to replace as it can be trickey and you do not want to touch the surface of the roller with you fingers.

Thank you!

I found these instructions: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c02674682 - "Replace the Separation Pad and Rollers"

I live in Denmark, Europe. Is the website you mention still the best place to buy?

Thank you.

I would think you can find a source in Denmark that will meet your needs.  Also I doubt you will find the tool they show to remove the roller. What I do is titl the printer up and use the top of my head to hold it up so I can use fingernails on each hand to move the holding clips outward and then move the roller forward and off. It is tricky but you will be able to get it off.

Good idea!

Now I have ordered the rollers, plus a Doc Feeder (ADF) Pickup Roller from www.computersalg.dk .

Now I received the parts. But when I try to follow the above mentioned instructions, the first step doesn't work:

" Turn the product on, and wait for it to reach the Ready state. Perform the following steps to rotate the roller to the service position.

Open the 2ndry Service menu by pressing the Left Arrow button and the Cancel button simultaneously.

Use the arrow buttons to select Pick roller, and then press OK. "

When I press Left Arrow and Cancel simumtaneously nothing happens except I get the message "Job settings cleared".

If I am lucky (...) I can get a 'service menu' by pressing the Right arrow and Cancel simultaneously. But it has no "Pick Roller" item. And my User Guide doesn't mention a 2ndry service menu. So how do I get the rollers into service position?

With this series getting to the secondary service menu can be a pain. Just keep on trying and keep in mind each time you press both keys you then need to go into the menus and scroll down to see if the secondary service menu will be there. From what I remember it is not part of the service menu but will appear as a menu on it own just like the reports menu. Just keep trying. When you finally get to the menu you then have to scroll down to move the pick roller and once you hear it turn just unplug the power from the printer.

It doesn't work. I can't open the 2ndry Service menu by pressing the Left Arrow button and the Cancel button simultaneously. No matter how I do it... And Right Arrow gives another menu. So how do I get the paper pick up rollers to rotate to the service position?
