Are there any hardware differences between the Laserjet CP5225 and the CP5225n? Outwardly they look identical - both have the RJ45 network socket. Are the differences purely software related? Is it possible to upgrade to the "n" specification from the other?
Thanks.

Hi Mike_Ray,
There is only one real difference between CP5225 and CP5225n:
The CP5225 does not support network connectivity. Its RJ-45 port is not operateable (it's a dummy port).
The CP5225n supports network connectivity via the ethernet port RJ-45. That's way has the "n" (n = network).
I hope this is clear for you now 🙂
Cheers!

To clarify - there is no CP5225 printer model - that is a printer series...
The series include the CP5225n printer or the CP5225dn model while the difference is the auto duplex unit... any model of that series include an ethernet port as listed by its specifications below:

Hi ShlomiL,
I am afraid you are wrong on this. There is indeed a CP5225 printer model (CE710):

And if you look at the connectivity under the specifications you will see that there is only the USB port available.
Cheers!
