Laserjet M1005 MFP
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Hello,

the printer here at the office is jamming every time a document longer than 1 page is printed. It prints the first page, but the second page is invariably blank, and jams.

I've tried turning on "auto un-jam", and it did nothing. I've tried disabling "less paper curl", just in case, and it still did nothing.

Our printer is a Laserjet M1005 MFP. Is there anything we can do to make it operate normally?

Dear The_Fossette,

It turned out that there was something stuck inside.

After opening up the printer again, we found a strip of plastic and a flat rubber wire caught between the rollers. Removing those led to the printer working normally again when reassembled.

They must've been carried inside between two pages. Thank you kindly for your assistance, and I apologize for the trouble.

Faithfully yours,

Nicolas3

Dear The_Fossette,

those solutions will work to unjam the printer after a jam, but after that, every time I try to print a two-page document, the same thing happens again, stopping the printing process.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thank you kindly,

Hi @Nicolas3

Please help me with the paper type and size you are using. Also, include the software from which you are printing.

Meanwhile, I recommend you to try making few copies and check.

Let me know how it goes.
