Scanner tcp/ip not working (windows 10). USB router. Print working OK, Scanner not working

Hi,
Do you have the HP Laserjet M1120 or M1120n?
Is it connected with an Ethernet cable to your router?
Connecting a USB device to a router (aka. print server) only provide a printer sharing, sanning via USB can be only done by directly connecting the printer to a computer... to allow scanning from multiple PCs a printer must be connected to a network connection via Ethernet or Wireless, not with a USB connection...
